HOTELS & HOSPITALITY

Privacy Glass for Hotels and Hospitality Spaces

Give guests greater control over privacy, daylight, and comfort while helping rooms, amenities, and shared spaces adapt throughout the day.

Hospitality privacy glass can control visibility, daylight, or blackout through doors, windows, bathroom enclosures, partitions, and exterior glazing. PGS offers electronic, mechanical, manual, and permanent solutions for hotels, resorts, spas, restaurants, event venues, and other guest-facing environments.

HOSPITALITY PRIVACY GLASS

What Is Hospitality Privacy Glass?

Hospitality privacy glass controls visibility, daylight, or blackout through doors, windows, partitions, bathroom enclosures, and exterior glazing.

Depending on the selected system, guests or staff can switch the glass from transparent to private, adjust sightlines, manage solar exposure, create complete blackout, or incorporate permanent patterns, colors, and imagery.

The appropriate solution depends on how the space is used, the experience guests should have, and how the property will operate and maintain it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hotel and Hospitality Privacy Glass FAQs

The best solution depends on whether the room needs instant privacy, adjustable sightlines, daylight control, or complete blackout.

Clarity™ provides on-demand privacy. BetweenGlassBlinds™ provides adjustable privacy and light control. HUEE provides multiple privacy and solar-control states, while Lyto™ provides complete blackout.

Yes. Clarity™ switchable glass can transition from transparent to private on demand, making it suitable for compatible bathroom partitions, suite dividers, and other interior openings. Glass dimensions, framing, electrical requirements, moisture conditions, and the desired level of privacy should be evaluated for each application.

Lyto™ Smart Shades provide complete blackout by deploying an electrostatic shade sealed within an insulating glass unit. This makes Lyto™ suitable for guest rooms, ballrooms, conference rooms, screening areas, and other spaces where both visibility and incoming light must be blocked.

Other privacy solutions may obscure views, adjust sightlines, or reduce daylight, but they should not be described as providing complete blackout.

Yes. Vistamatic® operates mechanically without electricity. BetweenGlassBlinds™ is available with manual and magnetic controls. DecoGlass provides permanent screening, privacy, branding, or decorative coverage without power or moving components.
In some cases, yes. Existing glass dimensions, framing, doors, hardware, electrical access, surrounding construction, and required performance must be evaluated before a solution is selected.
Not automatically. Privacy glass controls visibility, but visual privacy does not necessarily prevent conversations from being heard. Where acoustic privacy is required, the complete wall, door, frame, seals, and glazing assembly should be evaluated for sound performance.
